Practically, any motor vehicle can participate in car racing because a car has the power to speed up and race. But not all cars are considered sports cars or race cars. By and large, sports cars are open, low-built, lightweight, and high-speed motor vehicles. They have two seats and two doors just like other car types. Nevertheless, they do not necessarily have a powerful engine as this can inhibit the machine on tight, twisting roads. Since race cars are built for high speed and superb handling, they are easy to manoeuvre on race tracks. Conversely, sports cars have accurate handling, vigorous acceleration, quick braking and attractive design. Passenger space, comfort and cargo capacity are compromised for a fast driving delight. Race cars may also be classified as luxurious or common cars.
